I have a blood test today at 10:45 so I'll fast until then and will eat when I get back to the office.
Partook in a Chinese lunch today. Had a couple of egg rolls, a couple of wontons and some white rice. Not much. Didn't settle well with the stomach.
I had an apple as well. We had mexican food from my favorite place but I didn't have any of that. Was tough, but not too bad.
Got my new juicer and had juice for dinner. Have to go out and get some more vegetable. This one juices so the pulp is pretty dry.

Day 10
Vitals: Weight 214.4, BP 122/80, Pulse 60.
Going for my run now. Ran 4.5 miles. Felt good. Legs were tired but I ran further than I thought I would at a good pace too.
Juice for breakfast.
Apple & banana for snack.
Salad for lunch
2 cuties for snack
Naked Juice for dinner
2 fish tacos from Carl's and a diet coke late

Day 9
Vitals: Weight 213.2, BP 144/88 (I didn't take my medication yesterday so it's not surprising, although it's not as bad as I thought it would be.)
Today was a dip into carbs a little. I had an apple and banana for snack and a salad for lunch but had 2" is garlic twist bread. Felt like a big cheat and feel like it'll put lbs back on. Later on I had a little more salad and another apple. Will juice and salad tonight.
Tomorrow will go for a 3 mile run.

Day 8 - Modified Juice Plan
Vitals: Weight 215.4, BP 131/85 Pulse 64.
Off to my run.
Ran about 6.5 miles. Not as far as I had planned but my legs got tired. Whether it was the diet or not running enough recently or working hard around the house yesterday, I don't know. I'll have to make sure I get my regular run days in the next couple of weeks. Have the 1/2 marathon in 2 weeks. Also need to see what special meals I should have leading up to the run so that I know I have enough nutrition in me to do the 13 miles.
Off to my run.

Day 7 - Modified Juice Plan
Really? Day 7? Outside of having to mix up my menu a bit, I'm past where I thought I'd be.
Vitals: Weight 216.4, BP 127/83
Ryan has an early lacrosse game. I don't feel like juicing but I don't feel like going until 10:00 without eating anything. Starbucks has the fruit smoothies I think I'll try. They have 4 ingredients, milk, banana, fruit and protein powder. That should tied me over until later.
Actually, it held me over until 11:00 when I juiced the usual. That was all I had until 6sh when we bbq'd sockeye salmon, green peppers, had salad and wild brown rice. It was delicious.
Tomorrow I run 7-8 miles.

Ran 4.2 miles. After not running for 2-3 weeks, I did pretty well. Running with less weight really makes a difference. I felt lighter, with less prodding.
Juice for breakfast, juice for lunch, apples for snacks. I really didn't feel like having a salad and vegetables for dinner so I made a shake with Almond milk, strawberries, blueberries and protein powder. It satisfied me and I didn't have to eat anything else.
I took my BP at night, which I usually don't do and it was 129/82.

Day 5 - Modified Juice Plan
Vitals: Improving daily; weight 218.4, BP 129/86, pulse 59. I've lost 10 lbs in 4 days and my blood pressure has dropped 14/6 points. I haven't even added exercise to the mix. I'll plan on doing a 40 minute run tomorrow morning and 7 miles on Sunday.
Will continue with what I've been doing as it seems to be working out.
Juice, juice and more juice. Throw in an apple, some steamed broccoli and cauliflower, salad and rice. Getting bored with this...
Always feeling on the verge of hunger but get satisfied when I'm eating/drinking. Doesn't last long though.
Still, I'm hoping I don't get discouraged when the numbers stop dropping, as I know they will at some point. Gosh, I sure would like some real food. It's easy to avoid but the smells are intensified and that's what's hard to pass up.
